Hi there, my name is Lizzy and I provide Physiotherapy services for the students enrolled at Arahunga School. Part of my role includes helping support students with their physical needs and supporting access to the curriculum by improving physical function and providing equipment as required.

I provide advice and guidance to the teaching staff on appropriate exercise programmes, movement programmes, manual handling, transfers and assistance with physical community activities such as riding, swimming and dancing.

My role is to help encourage movement and physical activity as part of the daily classroom routine and support the teaching staff who are providing and performing this. Through this I aim to enhance the physical and movement skills for the learners at Arahunga.

Movement programmes within the classroom

Transfers and manual handling guidelines and support

Daily exercise programmes
