Sarah began her teaching career working in the Special Needs Department at Spotswood College where she taught for six years. Following a move to Christchurch Sarah worked as a Special Education Advisor for the Ministry of Education and then trained as a Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour and led the RTLB as practice leader. Sarah worked in this role for eight years before moving back to Taranaki in 2021 when she accepted a role working as a Team Leader / Specialist Teacher for Arahunga.
Sarah has a passion for supporting students in an inclusive education setting and enjoys exploring creative and fun ways to engage students in their learning. She is enthusiastic about learning and contributing to positive outcomes for students and their whanau.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children developing their 15 acre lifestyle block.
